Kane Brown has done more than one thing right.
After all, the country singer was just honored with the Country Champion Award at the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards Sept. 26, and proved in his speech that wife Katelyn Brown and their three kids Kingsley, 4, Kodi, 2, and Krewe, 3 months, are still his top achievement.
In fact, he joked that he finally remembered to give them a shoutout.
"I want to thank my wife, of course, because I feel I always forget to do that," Kane said onstage. "You’re amazing, I love you. She holds our house down."
Of course, Kane didn’t hesitate to share some love for the kids he welcomed with his wife of six years.
"I know my babies are at home watching, so I just want to say I love you guys," he continued. "I can’t wait to be home to y’all in a little bit."
The "Miles on It" artist also offered some reflection on his career, noting, "I always look down on myself every day, and I never think I should be on this stage."
That's why he wanted to give a shoutout to "any kid that’s watching, anybody that has a dream, anybody that wants to give back—because you know there’s a lot of people that need your help and a lot of people they keep their head up and they don’t help anybody out."
Kane is a relatively new boy dad, considering he and Katelyn just welcomed their son earlier this year. However, the “Miles On It” singer previously emphasized how much fatherhood has always meant to him.
As he told E! News of his daughters in 2022, “They’re my everything.”
And Kane exhibits as such often on social media, recently sharing a video of himself dancing with his girls in the family’s kitchen, with the caption, “WE ATE ALL OF OUR DINNER.”
The 30-year-old’s latest accomplishment—which he was given alongside Miranda Lambert’s Country Icon Award—comes one year after Wynonna Judd became first winner of the PCCAs’ Country Champion award.
And while Kane’s speech—which was presented to him for his passion, service, and groundbreaking contributions to the industry—was certainly a highlight of the PCCA ceremony at Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, it was far from the only one of the evening, which has Shania Twain as its host.
Indeed, some of country’s biggest stars of 2024 continue to be honored, including Beyoncé for her genre-flipping Cowboy Carter and Zach Bryan, who lead the night in nods with 17 and 19 nominations each. Meanwhile, Kacey Musgraves and Morgan Wallen followed closely behind with ten and nine nominations, respectively.
As the award show continues, much more excitement is certainly in store—so keep your cowboy boots on. In the meantime, keep reading for more red carper photos.
